This is one of the oldest & highest producing mines in America still in operation. The quality natural gemstones produced are generally medium blue with a "water web" matrix that easily distinguishes it from other stones. The best specimens are a lovely blue with a black web matrix. The mine also produces varieties ranging from pale green to blue with red, brown or yellow matrix.
