Mining these unusual stones from a deposit in the Altyn Tyube mine is extremely difficult. The miners can only work during winter months when the ground is solid enough not to collapse in on itself. These stunning gems are renowned for their light blue hue with lavender undertones, featuring a variety of matrix including deep lavender, rust & golden to dark brown.
