Number 8 turquoise

First Discovered in 1925 and first mined in 1929; the Number 8 Turquoise mine is home to a Turquoise which displays a spider-web matrix of colors ranging from golden brown to black with a contrasting powder blue and green foreground. Pieces with either the red or black spider-web matrix are the most rare and sought after. Because the mine was closed in 1976, Eureka County, Nevada is now known in one of the most rare and exquisite specimens sources of Turquoise in the world, if you can find any.
